S.M.A.R.T. Habits Saturday

Well to say the least I am a slow learner. My goal was to have my clothes ready the night before work inorder to get to work on time. I picked out my clothes, but did not iron them. That defeats the purpose don't you think? I do. Second, I need a support group for "I hate mornings!" I need to get up no later than 5:45am and I don't drag myself out of bed until 6:00am. It's not the way to start out a day. It's such a self-defeating habit. I really must master this goal.

I am soooo with you on hating to get out of bed. Every night I go to bed thinking "tomorrow's the day", and then i hit snooze twice. Maybe you can set your alarm for 5:30 and then you'll be up by 5:45?

I still want you to realize you are starting out well! at least you got the clothes out. Now you just need to add one part of a habit, ironing, to the mix! You are doing great.

Thank you for the kind words. I really can beat myself up.

Are there some other things you could do at night so that you could sleep in a little later? Try slowly adding them to your habits. I hate getting up early so I want you to be able to sleep in as long as possible!

Oh I wish I could sleep later, but I have to be a school at 7:25 and it takes me about 12 minutes to get to school so I'm pushing it as it is. I just live for vacations and summer. I'm spoiled. I need to count my blessings.

This works for me:
1)go to bed on time-seeing Dave Letterman means a tired me the next morning
2)no caffeine after 3 pm
3)enjoy your job so that you want to be there on time
4)exercise makes me sleep better
5)drink my goal of a gallon of water a day before 5 pm
You are doing excellent by setting this goal.
