Oh I loved boxes of stuff like this when I was little!!! I had that one dog with the walking legs too. I think many of yours are old cracker jack prizes and may even be worth some $. Not that you could stand to part with any, right?
Those look like old cracker jack charms. I bought a huge bag full for $3 bucks. I think if you go to ebay you could get prices for them... (not to sell, just to know~)The true value is in the memories you get everytime you lift the lid.
How nice that you have memories of time spent with your grandmother sorting through these charms. Blessings.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Yes, I would be prepared to sell some of my pottery balls (but never did it so far). I am thinking of putting them on ebay.

Hey Trudi, I have a little box at school filled with all kinds of little trinkets like the one you posted. I use them with my students to make an "I Spy" page like the I spy books. They pick out 7 things and they have to tell how they are all connected to each other (language development)then they pick out 7 other random trinkets (not related to each other) next they arrange them on a piece of transparency film and we lay it on the scanner and scan it then print it out and lastly they write a riddle about the related trinkets (just like the I Spy books). They LOVE it!

Those are delightful, and particularly special for the memories with your grandmother. I spotted a cute little Scotty in the mix.
I have charms, too and I don't want to use them, I just like to look at them, LOL
